Homage is a tribute of sorts. It is meant to show respect or to hint towards to original is some way. Sandro Miller - Homage photographer She had this brilliant idea to recreate famous photos/characters with the same actor throughout. For my images above I wanted to have a common theme so I chose musical stills. I modeled them all after specific stills that I put next to them in the slideshow. I also tried to make it my own but some ended bland and rough.
My photos were all very edited and took me a while to complete but overall i'm happy with them as a unit. When you break it down photo by photo however It's a different story. My worst photo I would say is the Jumping away from the explosion photo or the one before it. It looks as posed as it was and isn't executed very well. As for my favorite I'm tied for the first two. I really like how they both turned out. I feel like the first one tells the story better but the color of the second is better. I tried to use color and repetition in the first one and in the second I used color. They're both very successful because of how well they compare the actual.

For my homage I recreated the cover of American Psycho: The musical. I took the base pose and split color from the original photo, and the logo of course but I changed the colors and the place where the person splits. I used two very different colors to create variety
For my photos I followed Allison through the first half of a day. I just showed her throughout the day, from wake up to around noon. I just wanted to show the carefree style of a child. Some photos are successful but others are blurry and boring
For my product photography I did a simple shoot of bath bombs. I tried to keep the focus good and make them seem desirable. I wish I had a different location. I didn't really have a clear story to it. I think some are successful but overall it isn't so good.
In my photos I got as many letters as I saw and for my word I did MAX. I wanted it to be a in MAX EFFORT. I wanted to mock student athletes and their eveeryday grind. I think it was pretty successful because they all look pleasant.
I followed the story of a man with his beloved pet flying away after an animal attack. I used form and value to add depth and wanted to keep the colors neutral. I think lt was successful because of the story and the way the shadows fall
I wanted to show the day in the life of a Mckensey. She shows emotion creating the mood of these photos. I used color to add some emotion too. I think its very successful because of how it was portrayed well.
These photos tell the story of friendship and being lost. I wanted to use black and white to make it dramatic. My story follow this cat waking up without knowledge of her whereabouts. She looks around to find someone or something familiar. It ends with her finding a hand to hold on to. I think it was successful overall because of the emotion shown.
I wanted to follow a story of demon summoning with my subjects interests. Her interest was art so i wanted to use color from paints and line with other art supplies. Overall i think it turned out well and I like the story.
