TOP 25 PHOTO GALLERY
I feel as though throughout this year I've definitely gotten better at photography and editing. I used new skills and styles I learned in this class. My photography is completely different. In the beginning of the year I wasn't really into it and I never edited my photos. Now I spend an hour cutting up my photo and making it look as I desired it would. Once I got inspired I spiraled into the world of photography. The incentive to get photo of the week also helped.
As for my actual photo style I have a common theme of deeper emotions and specific scenes. For instance I like to give my photos stories. Because of this I like to make my models show deeper, more intense emotions. I also like to recreate stills from musicals, as you can see in my last two projects. My most common model is Mckensey. She is very convenient for photos and is very cooperative with instructions. I am pretty bossy so I like an obedient model.
All the photos I chose were in my opinion well lighted. I don't know why but that's the key to good photos for me.My other photos are just okay because the light doesn't flow well and they don't flatter the models. Some other ones, like the black and white ones, I chose because of how the story is portrayed. Or others ones I just love how the color came out. An example would be the faceless photo from portraits. Others I put on here purely because My editing skills were good. Like the homage photo.
Easily the black and white project. It was the kickoff to my streak of great photos. It boosted my confidence and I had a lot of fun doing it. I put all of the photos from this series in the top 25 cause I just felt they were all great. If I could redo this semester I would try to do more of the double exposure aspect because I utilized it so much. I would also try to do more story themed photos.
